Interesting facts about Roosevelt Island:
It was once a smallpox hospital center. The island was reopened to the public in 1975. Now home to a nice residential complex, the Roosevelt island is a great place to visit, get there by tram and try out the big wheel for some fantastic views of Manhattan!
