New York Easter

New York Easter Parade

The Easter parade, also known as the hats parade, is a New York tradition since the end of the 19th century. It used to be a place where New York’s elite would attend church while dressed to the nines. Many curious New Yorkers would gather at the front of the church to watch them leave.

Today, St-Patrick’s Cathedral is the place where millions of people attend the Easter Parade to celebrate. You will find the most eccentric people dressed in the most original costumes. Many will even dress their dogs in a costume and a fun hat.

The parade starts at 10am on 5th avenue between 49th and 57th street.

Be sure when you book your tour from Montreal to New York to plan on returning Monday so you can attend the Easter Parade. It’s something to see!
